We are now in the process of recording another project. The first project "New Perspective" was a mix of smooth jazz with a mix of gospel. The next one will be focused on praise & worship music. Along with New Perspective producer Johnathan Davenport, we've called on some more help Dimitri Turner and Stellar award nominated producer Donyea Goodman. You may know Donyea's work from songs like "God's Got It" (J. Moss) and "I Wouldn't Know You" (James Fortune). We are very excited to be bringing you new music! I actually was and was, but the music wasn't going in the direction I had wanted. So now, two years later, here we are again. The recording stage is complete. I'm now waiting to get it mastered and get the cd design finished. With that said, as soon as I get those two things done, within the next few weeks, I'll give a release date.Cameron Ross Musictag:cameronrossmusic.com,2005:Post/1628532012-05-01T05:00:06-05:002012-05-01T05:00:06-05:00Album ReleaseI was just looking at my one of my earlier blog post and it said that I was expecting to release my project in the fall of 2010. Here some footage from the show at the bottom of the page. Enjoy!Cameron Ross Musictag:cameronrossmusic.com,2005:Post/1039362011-06-26T13:10:18-05:002020-07-04T02:23:40-05:00IN NEED OF YOUR HELP A lot of times, I go into performance situations where there are limited sound systems or none at all. This results in me borrowing other peoples equipment (if they aren't using it) or even renting one. It would mean a lot if you could help me (financially) purchase my own quality sound system. This would really help me be more effective and efficient in providing music for public events. If interested in helping or would like to know more about the system I plan to purchase, email me at cameron@cameronrossmusic.com. You also can visit my website www.cameronrossmusic.com and follow the Paypal link to make a donation.

Thank you all once again for your many prayers and support. Be sure to connect with me on Facebook. A lot of you interact with me frequently there and your friendship is priceless. I look forward to connecting with you. Keep me in your prayers.

With the help of my new producer, Johnathan Davenport, we are on lightning pace to finish before the end of the year. In the mean time, the Lord is constantly opening doors and opportunities. This has been my busiest and most successful year as a musician to date. Thank you all for your support in making that possible. I'm believing greater is to come.
Cameron Ross Musictag:cameronrossmusic.com,2005:Post/835242010-08-24T03:59:25-05:002010-08-24T03:59:25-05:00UpdatesI've had a lot of events lately. One being Memphis Music Monday at the Hard Rock Cafe in Memphis. Thanks to all of my friends that came out...especially my coworkers. I debuted a few songs from my upcoming music project. I was recieved very well and I was able to network with more singers and musicians in the city.

I'm sending a very special thanks to 15th St. Church of God in Christ in West Memphis. What I thought was going to be me playing a song or two turned out to be my own mini concert. The pastor's wife told me that the second half of the service was all mine. This was the first time that I was able to minister in music and words. It was a great blessing to myself.

The project is still in the works.....it takes money money money..especially to be done right. Feel free to click on those donate buttons on my page! It's safe and secure!

Blessngs to you all,

Cam
Cameron Ross Musictag:cameronrossmusic.com,2005:Post/802812010-06-25T11:17:56-05:002010-06-25T11:17:56-05:00FOLLOWING YOUR DREAMS I've always had a desire to pour into people in some way outside of music. This website gives me the perfect outlet to do it. Over the past year, I've had a tremendous surge in my music ministry. Since last August, I have never had an empty calendar. Whenever my calendar starts to get empty, new opportunities always come. Many people ask me, "How did you start getting all of this exposure?" My reply is simple, "A decision to do it" I, like many others, was waiting on other people to give me that big break. I began to realize that the people that I was depending on were looking for breaks themselves. There were even some that had good intentions of helping me and some did to an extent. When I realized that I was responsible for my destiny, my perspective of everything changed. Family, pastors, friends, other professionals, all these people have a desire to see you succeed in fulfilling you destiny, but it's not there sole responsibility. I have a wonderful pastor who has for years preached on finding and fulfilling your destiny. Although he is very supportive, he has his own destiny to fulfill. So like I said earlier, I made a decision. Instead of waiting for the "big names" to call me, I began to use the people and resources around me. I looked in the papers and web for functions that were happening in my area and asked if I could be apart of them. I asked other pastors that I know if I could share in their morning services or special programs. I became "visible and availaable".

Those are things that anyone can do however you should still want God to bless all you do.

1. Stay humble. No one like people that are always bragging on themselves. God says when you are humble, you are free from pride and arrogance. You know that in your flesh you are inadequate, yet you also know who you are in Christ. Personally, I've noticed people that brag on themselves, especially musicians, aren't that good anyway. It's not about you! If your gift/ministry is not meeting the needs of others, then all of your work is in vain. Your talent isn't a gift to you. He entrusted it to you to bless others with it.

2. Submit your gift. Everyone should have a spiritual covering. A good friend of mine, Merlon Devine, is a gospel/jazz saxophonist who travels weekly across the country. However, he and his family are still members of a local church where he SERVES. I believe that one of the main reasons God has blessed me is because of my faithfulness to my local church. Do I perform my own music on a regular basis there...no. My mission at my church isn't to promote myself, it's to promote the Kingdom. You will NEVER have an effective national or worldwide ministry if your not able to bless you local congregation. God will always reward your faithfulness.

3. Submit yourself. Romans 12:1-I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. God is looking for yielded vessels he can use. You have to have a heart for ministry and meeting others needs. There are a lot of people who you may see prospering that you know do not have things right with God. Don't be decieved by this. Psalms 37:1-2 1Don't bother your head with braggarts or wish you could succeed like the wicked. 2 In no time they'll shrivel like grass clippings and wilt. like cut flowers in the sun. ..and you never know, God might be working on them also.

4. Never measure yourself by the success of others. You will always find yourself frustrated doing this. Take your gift and use it to the best of your ability. There is no one on this Earth that can do a better job at being you. God made you to be you, not anyone else. Take what you have and maximize it!
